Garden Party Invites

My God-daughter Sam is having a Garden Party theme for her birthday in March, I posted some cute invites here and her mum Kim drew inspiration and made these gorgeous invites with black and red card.They were a little time consuming to cut out all the circles and glue but as you can see the results are worth it, they even have a magnet to stick on the fridge

Kim and I also talked today about a ladybug headband to adorn Sam's head so that she feels like the star of the day or should I say bug of the day! Similar to the headband on this little lady.

Kids Party Tips

I stumbled accross this post in a blog I enjoy Tania McCartney The Blog and I thought it had some excelent tips on planning kids birthday parties. I love planning all kinds of different parties but sometimes can get a little hung up on the small stuff, and end up running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything perfect.

One of the tips I liked the most was "If you choose a basic set of three colours, you will be amazed how easy it is to get the party looking really fabulous"

Here are some pics of Bianca's 2nd Birthday. For those of you who know me I like to throw a party with all the trimmings but I do however like to think of cheap alternatives to keep costs down

I found this material at Spotlight for a couple of dollars and it made tablecloths for four picnic benches

Cheap bags from Spotlight, name tags on the computer and voila, gorgeous loot bags

Me and my besties made up these sandwiches, attached tags and wrapped them up with pink serviettes, and natural twine. A cheaper alternative to catering or buying from the bakery

My first attempt at cupcakes, it can only get better from here!

Party Inspirations

2010 is here. One of my resolutions this year is to start blogging again. It may only be a handful of people that read it, but its main purpose is to encourage my journal writing. Over the years I have kept sporadic diary's but writing to myself never inspired me enough to keep it up.
